Anchored by a bold, sculptural gable form, this mountain modern residence terraces into the hillside to capture long mountain views. The strong triangular roofline sets the language—crisp lines, a zero-soffit eave detail, and a clear volumetric hierarchy—while expansive glazing draws daylight deep into the single-level plan and connects living spaces to the landscape. A contrasting material palette pairs zinc-plated standing seam metal with cedar Shou Sugi Ban, balancing refined precision with tactile depth. Inside, open-plan living spaces extend to unobstructed outdoor areas, creating year-round continuity between interior and terrain. The result is a contemporary retreat that feels both iconic and rooted in its mountain context.
